Team Member - Stephen Fries

Stephen was admitted as a lawyer in 2014 after graduating from the University of Melbourne. He then practiced for some years in a number of areas of law including property, commercial and wills and estates law before focusing on wills and estates. Stephen has worked at a range of firms, including a firm with one of Victoria’s largest Wills & Estates teams, and has also completed his Masters in Wills & Estates law.

Stephen joined the Novum team in March 2024 as a Partner and is passionate about assisting clients with their wills and estates needs including estate planning, preparation of Testamentary Trust or Special Disability Trust Wills, business succession planning, preparation of Enduring Powers of Attorney and Appointments of Medical Treatment Decision Makers, applications for Grants of Probate and other grants of representation, estate administration, and estate litigation including both making and defending claims. 

In his time away from work, Stephen enjoys reading, badminton, further study, playing in his church band and spending time with family and friends.
